The Department of English of Kaliachak College started its journey in the year of 1995 along with the establishment of the college in the same year and today it has morphed into the most sought after centre for students wanting to study English language and literature. At present it has two assistant professors and two State Aided College Teachers. It has its own classrooms along with audio visual facilities and also a language lab. We are aware that most of our students come from rural areas and we are committed to help them nurture their critical appreciation of literary and cultural issues and guide their intellectual journey.
